About the Conference

As one of the rapidly growing branches of mechanical engineering, the multibody system dynamics is applied to various applications, and is becoming increasingly important in the development of complex engineering systems. The continual new challenges faced by the multibody community demand productive conference forums where ideas are freely exchanged and a spirit of cooperation is encouraged.

To facilitate networking of researchers working in multibody dynamics, two reputed conferences are IMSD (Joint International Conference on Multibody System Dynamics) and ACMD (Asian Conference on Multibody Dynamics) are held every alternate year. IMSD is held every even year, starting in 2010 at Lappeenranta, Finland. ACMD is also generally held every even year, starting in 2002 at Iwaki, Japan. The list of earlier venues of the conferences can be seen here.

The objectives of the IMSD-ACMD2020 conference can be found here. The Conference is endorsed by various International and Indian Societies, which are displayed on the right-side.

Due to COVID-19, IMSD-ACMD conferences planned during Nov. 1-5, 2020 are postponed to Oct. 16-20, 2022. IMSD-ACMD2020 may here after be referred to as "6th IMSD and 10th ACMD".
